03 Mar, 2007 - NEW! Hope Mills Zoning

Available now online, The Town of Hope Mills Zoning through our mapping program, Exponare! The new zoning will be displayed by clicking the Layer Shortcut Menu button with the Show Zoning selection. All zoning is visible at a close zoom level.

Coming soon, Exponare version update which will include a much awaited “pan” function for navigating maps!

16 Feb, 2007 - 2006 Aerial Photography

2006 Aerial Photography is now available on the Default Mapping Page. These photos are not extremely high resolution, therefore the display is turned off at approximately 1000 feet. Thanks to JCH GIS of Durham NC for providing these.

NOTE: The Layer Shortcut Menu Button will display these as 2006 NAIP Photos. You must turn off this layer prior to clicking the Show Aerial Photos layer. Otherwise, the City Limit layer will become opaque.

20 Dec, 2006 - Google Earth Available!

Map menus now allow users to embed the map image into Word, Power Point, or Outlook document with a press of a button! Users can also overlay a map onto Google Earth by selecting the Google Earth button near the top of the Map menu. Special thanks to Simon Nitz of Napier New Zealand for allowing us to use this feature.

22 Nov, 2006 - Google Earth Soon!

Google Earth overlays of local data are now available as a test on the Static Maps and Reports Page. To use this feature you must have Google Earth installed on your machine. Monthly Development Review Information is currently available. Additional data sets may be added in the future. Please note that this is experimental at this stage.

15 Oct, 2006 - Development Plans Available!

Development Plans are now available as PDF documents on most maps. Light Green squares indicate development reviews that have an image attached for viewing. Note that these documents are to be used for reviewing 911 Address Assignments ONLY and are not legal documents. Users should refer to the Cumberland County Register of Deeds web site for legal documents.
